Alejandro Sung hyun Cho
Born in Pusan (South Korea), he moved to Buenos Aires (Argentina) at the age of 13, where he later began studying piano with Prof. Maria Teresa Criscuolo at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Buenos Aires. He presented his Bachelor’s thesis with the 24 Etudes by F. Chopin, for which he received the highest academic distinction “Summa cum laude”. He continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) with Prof. Kalle Randalu, where he received a Master’s degree in piano with distinction. In 2019, he completed the Solistenexamen Piano also with distinction at the above institution, where he performed the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 together with the Philharmonie Baden-Baden under the baton of Chief Conductor Pavel Baleff. Alejandro has also dedicated himself to the study of chamber music with Prof. Ralf Gothoni. In 2021, he received the Master Lied-Duo with distinction at the Zurich University of the Arts (Switzerland) under the direction of Prof. Christoph Berner and Prof. Werner Güra.
